These classes explore Buddhist teachings that help us to develop and experience a deep inner peace by learning to control our mind so that we can remain happy whatever is happening in our life.

Missed the Thursday live-stream? Don’t worry, the class is available to watch for up to 7 days after the live-streamed class.

Class Format

Each class will focus on a different aspect of Buddhist teachings and show how the teaching can lead to deeper and deeper levels of happiness. 

Each week is self-contained with a different topic being taught each week. The class contains two guided meditations, brief chanted prayers, a talk and practical advice on how to carry the instructions into our daily life.

Kelsang Shechog Meditation Teacher

About the Teacher

Kelsang Shechog is a Buddhist nun and the Resident Teacher of Kadampa Meditation Centre Wellington. Shechog has been practising and teaching Kadampa Buddhism for over 15 years. Her teachings are exceptionally clear and she presents profound ideas in a way that is easily accessible and applicable to modern life. Shechog is much loved for her gentle manner, kind heart and for showing an inspiring example for everyone on the spiritual path.
