This week’s topic: Taking away suffering
These classes explore Buddhist teachings that help us to develop and experience a deep inner peace by learning to control our mind so that we can remain happy whatever is happening in our life. The classes are presented in a way that is suitable for our modern world.
Each class will focus on a different aspect of Buddhist teachings and show how the teaching can lead to deeper and deeper levels of happiness. The teachings in this class are based on the book Modern Buddhism, which is the perfect companion for those attending the classes.
Each week is self contained with a different topic being taught each week. The class contains two guided meditations, brief chanted prayers, a talk and practical advice on how to carry the instructions into our daily life.

About The Teacher
Kelsang Shechog is a Buddhist nun and the Resident Teacher of Kadampa Meditation Centre Auckland. Shechog has been practising and teaching Kadampa Buddhism for over 15 years.
